What is Vendetta Games?
Vendetta Games is a web3 game studio best known for Chalk River, a Wild West open-world title, plus the MMORPG Eldritch Wars and an on-chain casino. Its VDT token launched on Polygon in March 2024 at a $0.15 public price and now trades more than 99 percent below it.
The studio, short version
Vendetta Games is a small game studio founded in 2023 by Alex McConnell, who remains its CEO. It began life under the VendettaDAO name, which the company's LinkedIn identity still carries, and its press materials give Panama City as headquarters. The pitch was one studio, several connected games, one token: a free-to-play Wild West RPG in the style of Red Dead Redemption as the flagship, side games hanging off the same world, AI-driven characters, and in-game assets issued as NFTs that players actually own.
On paper, early 2024 was the high-water mark. On February 5, 2024, Immutable announced Vendetta Games as the latest title coming to Immutable zkEVM, with Immutable Passport handling wallets. The studio reported more than 5,000 pre-alpha testers for Chalk River and a free-to-mint NFT collection of 888 pieces, the Frontier Collection, that it said generated over 550 ETH in secondary trading. Between late February and early March 2024, the VDT token sold across several launchpads at $0.15, closing a funding ladder that databases total near $2.5 million.
Two years on, the picture has split in half. The games are still there: the studio site is live and Chalk River remains downloadable. The token is not really there: trackers quote VDT at a fraction of a cent on near-zero volume, and one major database flags it inactive. Both halves belong in the same profile, and this page holds them together with dates and numbers rather than adjectives.
Which Vendetta Games?
The name is crowded. Five unrelated things answer to it, and no search result sorts them out. This page covers the first one only.

Coverage of the studio itself is thin enough that at least one startup database lists its headquarters as "Chalk River, Canada", mistaking the game for a town. That is the state of the record this page was written to fix.
The games, as shipped
Five titles sit on the studio site. What follows is their status at the July 2026 check, with the studio's own claims labeled as claims.
The flagship: a free-to-play frontier world set in 1850s North America, where players roam, own land and compete for staking rights to in-game businesses. Build v1.1.28 was downloadable through HyperPlay at the July 2026 check. The studio reported 5,000+ pre-alpha testers in early 2024.
A dark fantasy MMORPG in a retro pixel style, set in the shattered land of Eldria, with four playable classes: Knight, Archer, Paladin and Mage. Listed as downloadable on the studio site.
An on-chain casino with 11 games live, using SHA-256 based provably fair verification. The most finished-looking product in the suite, and the one that most plainly depends on the token.
Two further titles listed with minimal public detail. No dated release notes accompany either.
888 free-to-mint character NFTs on OpenSea. The studio said the collection produced over 550 ETH in secondary volume, a figure from its own press release rather than an independent audit.
The timeline, with real dates

Origins. ICO trackers log an angel allocation as early as 2022; company databases date the studio to 2023, founded by Alex McConnell and first operating as VendettaDAO. Seed, private and strategic rounds fill through 2023 at $0.05 to $0.10 per token.
Immutable announces Vendetta Games on Immutable zkEVM, with Immutable Passport for wallet onboarding. Chalk River is in pre-alpha with a reported 5,000+ testers.
The public window. VDT sells at $0.15 on TrustSwap and GameFi (February 28), BullPerks (March 1) and a Gate.io IEO (March 5 to 7). The rounds are small: the four sales together raise under $800,000.
Token generation and listing. CoinCarp logs the Gate.io listing on March 12; ICO Drops records the TGE as March 16. Tracker price highs of roughly $0.54 to $0.61 cluster around this window, about four times the sale price.
The studio site grows to five titles, Chalk River ships playable builds through HyperPlay, and the Saloon reaches 11 live games. VDT drifts steadily down; CoinCarp logs a one-year return of about minus 95 percent.

The itemized rounds sum to about $2.35 million. Tracxn logs the total at $2.48 million and CoinCarp near $2.53 million; CryptoRank additionally names PEAKDEFI among the launch platforms. The gap between those figures is itself a data point: nobody outside the company can reconcile them. Trackers also label the early rounds differently, so round names follow CoinCarp and phase dates follow ICO Drops.
VDT is an ERC-20 on Polygon with a maximum supply of 100 million; the studio site also lists a second contract on Immutable's network. Its stated utility is standard for the category: in-game currency across the suite, staking, and scholar rewards. The GameFi sale's vesting terms, 20 percent at TGE with a one-month cliff and four months of vesting, mean every public buyer has long been fully unlocked. Daily volume of $2.16 and a fully diluted value under $24,000 mean the quote is not a price in any usable sense. A market this thin cannot absorb buying or selling of any size.

Circulating supply is reported as 3 million, 34.5 million or 78 million depending on the tracker. When no one audits a token's float, every derived number, market cap included, inherits the doubt.
The studio site carries no dated news and its copyright line still reads 2023. The last independently dated milestone is the March 2024 token launch window.
Against all that: the site is up, Chalk River is downloadable, and the Saloon runs 11 games. A near-dead token and a live studio can coexist. Which one defines Vendetta Games from here is an open question, not a settled one.
